New talk and new sponsor!

We are pleased to announce that James Susinno will be speaking at the party on behalf of the Khronos Group this coming Saturday.

The Khronos Group (www.khronos.org) is a not-for-profit industry consortium creating open standards for the authoring and acceleration of parallel computing, graphics, dynamic media, computer vision and sensor processing on a wide variety of platforms and devices.

Khronos APIs include Vulkan, StreamInput, SPIR, SPIR-V, SYCL, WebGL, WebCL, COLLADA, OpenKODE, OpenVG, OpenVX, EGL, glTF, OpenSL ES, OpenMAX, OpenCL, OpenGL, OpenGL ES, OpenGL SC and so on.

Khronos Chapters are local groups of Khronos API users who get together on a regular basis (virtually and/or in person) to expand their understanding of Khronos APIs, share their technical achievements (and get help with challenges), and socialize with like-minded colleagues.

If you are from Boston, please stop by and say hi to the Boston Chapter leader Jim Susinno. If you are from outside of Boston and interested in setting up a local chapter, please visit http://chapters.khronos.org or stop by their chapter-leader party at SIGGRAPH 2015 in LA this August: https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/create-and-lead-a-local-khronos-chapter-tickets-17309591454.
